Gen Tech

As a Collaborative Theatre artist, I have had the opportunity to engage with many different elements of the craft. In my time at HPU, I have been a makeup/hair artist and designer, stitcher, dresser, light rigger, carpenter, run crew member, follow spot operator, stage manager, publicist, props master, producer, and more! I have also taken classes in light and sound crafts, costume design, makeup crafts, set design, and worked with Vectorworks and Qlab. Aside from my genuine interest in all of the workings of different areas of theatre, I also value the experiences with people in all fields of theatre and believe it has helped me to become a better collaborator.

Makeup Crafts Class Fall 2018

From bleeding aliens to wounds to old age, lions, and 1920s applications for stage and black and white screen, this class solidified my techniques and allowed me to experiment with painting on my face and using new products.

Hair Design and Styling

My friend, Becca Korn, wanted to look like a princess one day when class was cancelled for a tornado. Who am I to deny a queen her crown?
